THE POSITION

 

We are looking for a multi-state licensed, Collaborative Psychiatrist who has a passion for improving the lives of others. The Collaborating Physician's role will be responsible for supervising assigned nurse practitioners in applicable states respectively. The right candidate must have strong clinical experience in treating common mental health issues, along with expert skills in providing appropriate patient care.

 

This is a remote role, but must have a Texas license. Texas residency preferred. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Physician will provide approximately 5-10 hours per month of collaborative practice oversight and mentorship for each assigned NP, along with required chart audit/review as required by law.
  • Collaboration/Supervision with assigned nurse practitioners, which includes conducting patient chart audits on a monthly basis.
  • Fulfillment of any state-specific requirements as a collaborator
  • Ability to effectively evaluate, assess, and properly document.
  • Must be clinically strong in treating common mental health issues, function autonomously and have strong critical thinking skills to provide appropriate care.
  • Provide input concerning clinical cases involving complexity, emergencies, and referrals.
  • Evaluations and check-in with assigned Nurse Practitioners concerning patient care and the collaborative relationship shall also occur as required by applicable laws and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Active MD/DO license, Psychiatric specialization preferred (multiple state licensure strongly preferred – TX, GA, CA, AZ)
  • Active Licenses must be in good standing
  • Candidates must be board certified physicians, and have strong Clinical Background (Mental Health experience preferred; 2 years minimum experience required)
  • Active DEA License
  • Ability to understand and navigate EMR
  • Must have effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to delegate and make sound clinical judgments
  • Must be Technologically Savvy and comfortable working remotely in a virtual team setting
  • Candidate must licensed and reside in the state of Texas
  • Able to supervise multiple nurse practitioners
