Role description:

Arcadis is actively seeking an entry level Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer, with 0 to 4 years of experience, to join our Resilience-Water team, out of our Akron, OH office.

Role accountabilities:

Through our vast global expertise, Arcadis delivers comprehensive consulting services to solve our clients' most complex water challenges. We combine experience, innovation and insight through every phase of the water cycle to create enduring solutions to manage water resources and provide safe drinking water and effective wastewater management.

This is an exciting opportunity for an entry level I&C Engineer to join our team and be involved in projects with a variety of SCADA and Instrumentation and Controls automation and technology needs. Engineer will provide I&C technical and system integration services for diverse clients and projects in the industrial & municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities, with support from one of the best-qualified consulting firms in the country and a strong nationally recognized technical staff.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Work in a team setting to provide consulting services to support a variety of projects for I&C planning, design, construction, and integration for industrial & municipal water and wastewater treatment and conveyance facilities.
• Assist in developing technical & design criteria, process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), control system configuration diagrams, process control functional narratives, control schematics, panel layout and wiring diagrams, instrument selection and sizing, and interconnection diagrams.
• Work with the group to develop technical knowledge of I&C.
• Assist in performing factory tests, site acceptance tests, field checkout & startup.
• Assist in coordinating with engineers of various disciplines constantly throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist senior electrical engineer as needed with electrical power distribution design, including development of one-line diagrams, block diagrams, power plans, lighting plans, and control schematic.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering / Control Systems Engineering or a closely related field of study.
• Basic knowledge of PLC controls and SCADA.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Desire to develop programming knowledge in various HMI/PLC platforms.
