Overview

The Events Management Team partners with stakeholders to translate strategic business goals into into physical and digital event experiences that builds customer relationships, engages employees and connects us to the communities where we work. The Event Manager is a subject matter expert who translates regional strategic business goals into tactics for physical and digital events. Also, executes processes that align stakeholders on objectives, budgets and anticipated outcomes for internal and third party events.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to capture and prioritize event objectives and develop tactics that support business strategies
• Communicate event activities, plans, and expectations in a timely manner working to align key stakeholders by executing alignment processes
• Act as the responsible project lead and point of contact for leadership teams and other divisional stakeholders
• Collaborate with finance teams to manage regional event budgets and communicates any changes as needed
• Partner with Event Specialists to ensure event planning and execution achieves desired performance metrics
• Manage relationships with third party event organizers to identify opportunities that supports business objectives
• Advise sales teams on the selection of local and regional third-party events that align with business strategies

• Responsible for capturing and recording post event feedback for future planning purposes and continuous improvement
• Meet deadlines and complete administrative tasks such as expenses, training, reporting, policy acknowledgments, etc. in a timely manner
• Ensure that all event marketing is aligned with the relevant Cook Brand Marketing strategy
• Foster and maintain a workplace culture respectful and supportive of individual differences

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; in Tourism/ Events Management preferred

• 7 years of event management experience
• Medical marketing and/or event experience preferred
• Experience in the healthcare industry preferred

• Travel to events to manage all on site logistics (up to 20% of the time)
• Experience coordinating logistics for groups of different sizes including: transportation, hotels blocks, food and beverage
• Experience working with third party event organizers

Physical Requirements:

• Works under general office environmental conditions
• Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment
• Occasional travel, domestic & international, may be required

• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations
• Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports
• Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching
