Requirements:

• Doctor of Pharmacy or MBA/Master of Healthcare Administration Degree


• At least 5 years of hospital-based experience w/ 2 years of management experience


• Multi-site management experience preferred

The Director of Pharmacy will be joining the ancillary services department of this well-established medical center! This local health system is experiencing amazing growth as new service lines are being offered at a rapid pace. This growth has created an opportunity for a new Director of Pharmacy to step in and lead a strong inpatient Pharmacy management team. This 400-bed Medical Center is the leader in the provision of health care in the area and provides services including diagnostic imaging, inpatient/outpatient services, surgical services, and emergency services. 

Under direction from, and reporting to, the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Pharmacy will lead the charge in scaling pharmacy services to meet the demands of a growing health care system, hospital system, and community. You’ll oversee a friendly and professional staff of Pharmacists, Pharmacy Techs, and support personnel, while being supported by several Acute Care Pharmacy Supervisors. 

The Director of Pharmacy will oversee all pharmacy services and operations. The Pharmacy Director maintains oversight of fiscal planning, employee relations, and regulatory compliance for their department. As the department leader, the Director will assist in training staff members, developing/editing policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements.  The Inpatient Pharmacy Director will serve as a mentor for new and existing staff. The ideal candidate has a background in hospital pharmacy leadership and is passionate about being an effective leader for their team.
