Director of Business Development
 

Purpose:
TRC Mobility Solutions seeks an extremely talented sales professional. We are looking for a well-rounded person who understands cutting edge sales approaches which create an emotional connection with key stakeholder groups in order to grow sales. This person will have a drive to establish new business relationships, develop sales and sponsorship programs, corresponding sales success metrics tracked via CRM, actively manage a national sales team and excel in creating market perception & positioning of Advanced Mobility Solutions while creating a bond with their team and clients.

 

The Director of Business Development role is to hire, train, and develop a high performing sales team that delivers on established sales targets. To work with the marketing team to drive creative concepts across digital, social media, sales collateral, and compelling presentations. Additionally, they will deliver analytical tools to support expansion and growth of the company’s sales, solutions and services. This role requires an in-depth knowledge of sales processes, client engagement and management practices. This person must excel at building strong business relationships established upon trust and integrity across many functional levels and sizes of organizations.

 

Essential Job Responsibilities:

 

·      Work closely with A.M.S. President to hire, train, and manage a national sales team

·      Provide day to day direction and oversight of Regional Business Development Managers and client success team.

·      Research and identify new sales opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services

·      Establish sales performance targets and manage a sales pipeline which align with business plan objectives and revenue goals

·      Foster and develop relationships with customers/clients

·      Uncover the needs of our clients and be able to respond effectively with an appropriate solution

·      Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting strategies and objectives in order to develop and improve the business development outcomes

·      Conduct sales meetings and facilitate sales training

·      Develop sales tools & proposals

·      Develop and administer high-profile marketing initiatives, programs and projects relating to business development

 

Skills / Requirements:

 

·      Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field

·      Proven working experience (5+ years) as a business development manager, sales management executive, or equivalent role  within a
related industry sector

·      Experience in customer support is a plus

·      Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

·      Must have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work efficiently and effectively within a collaborative, cross-functional environment

·      Has exceptional attention to detail and the ability to plan strategically and manage multiple tasks and projects in parallel

·      Ability to create, analyze, and comprehend marketplace data and sales analytics for use in marketing messaging, positioning, promotion, and pricing

·      Problem solving skills

·      Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task

·      Excellent organizational skills

·      Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty

·      Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and CRM (MS or Salesforce)

·      Excellent analytical and project management skills

 

Supervision
                                                   

This role has a national sales team and client success team as direct reports and will be responsible for the comprehensive
management and performance of their teams.

  

Education and/or Experience                                              

A bachelor's degree, or equivalent education and experience. Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role.

 

Computer Skills                                             

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have competence with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM (Zoho).

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Valid drivers license per the guidelines of the Company Fleet Policy.  Ability to secure a valid passport.
