Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

The Accounts Payable Administrator is primarily responsible for directing the procure to pay process from vendor set-up and invoice receipt to payment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  1. Responsible for the accurate and timely payments of all vendor payables. Coordinate with individuals across the company to ensure that all invoices are appropriately submitted, validated and coded timely.

  2. Perform weekly check runs and any additional check runs as needed.  Adhere to check signing authorization policies and limits. Monitor cash balances in various checking accounts in order to prevent overdrawing bank accounts and related NSF fees.

  3. Efficiently and professionally perform all bookkeeping duties on a timely basis, with particular emphasis on paying all invoices and facilitating new vendor setup in the system.

  4. Troubleshoot accounts payable related questions and communicate solutions to individuals of all levels within the Company.

  5. Communicate directly with vendors to facilitate vendor set up and invoice submissions and provide information regarding payment status.

  6. Continuously strive to improve the payment process and gain efficiencies in daily tasks.

TRAVEL

Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Experience: Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in accounting and administrative work is preferred. At least one (1) year of accounts payable experience preferred. Experience with Yardi, Concur or JP Morgan virtual card payments is a plus. Real estate knowledge preferred.

Education: High school diploma or equivalency required.
