Park Avenues Securities Accounting Manager at Guardian in Holmdel, New Jersey

Job Description:

Reporting to the Individual Markets Controller for Park Avenues Securities, LLC, the Park Avenues Securities Accounting Manager​ with Guardian Life leads and manages the oversight of month end closing processes and coordinates all facets of independent financial statement audits. This includes but is not limited to interim and year end test procedures confirming audit requests are properly allocated with follow up ensuring requests are delivered in accordance with required deadlines.

You Will:

• Review daily procedures performed be staff accountants


• Accounts receivable and accounts payable


• Preparation and submission of Regulatory Reports including FINRA FOCUS, SIS, SSOI, Schedule I (monthly), SEC 17-H (quarterly) SIPC-6 and 7


• Compilation of Audited Financial Statements (Public and Confidential versions)


• Assist the Controller in developing, implementing, and monitoring internal controls


• Act as liaison for preparation of 1099-Misc forms for registered representatives


• Be responsible for general ledger account analyses


• Prepare ad hoc business requests

You Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related major


• Series 27 or must be obtained within 120 days of hire


• 4+ years of applicable experience


• Broker-Dealer experience preferred


• CPA preferred


• Supervisory experience


• Working knowledge of MS Office

Location

This position is hybrid with flexibility. Proximity to the Holmdel office would be ideal, as needed.
