The Lean Facilitator will be responsible for teaching, implementing, and assisting management in the application of LEAN methodology to shop-floor, business, and new product introduction processes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Facilitates Kaizen for shop floor, business and new product introduction processes utilizing LEAN methodology for systemic and tactical problem solving and rapid improvement.


• Applies Lean and Six Sigma methodologies in the implementation of process excellence and waste reduction initiatives.


• Drives the standardization of processes and the implementation of metrics and best practices.


• Understands and actively engages management to ensure the right balance of business and personnel needs are addressed.


• Communicate with all levels of the organization as appropriate to gain and maintain support for initiatives.

Education / Experience Required:

• Bachelor's Degree required, Science or Engineering field preferred

Skills:

• Knowledgeable of FDA and ISO guidelines for the development and manufacture of medical devices preferred.


• Engineering product development knowledge preferred.


• Manufacturing process knowledge preferred.


• Supply Chain process knowledge preferred.


• Project management and communication skills training preferred.


• LEAN training / Certification preferred.


• Business Acumen - Ability to work up and down the chain of command. Capable of holding audience with Manager and Director levels, and under supervision with Sr. Director / VP and SVP levels.

Knowledge:

• Limited use and/or application of basic principles, theories, and concepts.


• Limited knowledge of industry practices and standards

Reasoning Ability:

• Solves routine problems of limited scope and complexity following established policies and procedures.


• Follows specific, detailed instructions.
