Production Control Specialist I

About the role:

Join Takeda as a Production Control Specialist where you will ensure material is available to manufacturing to support the production schedule from the warehouse, maintain process specs and recipes, release and manage production orders, be responsible for review of MFG issuance of material to production orders, and help in reconciliation of floor stock inventory.. You will also use MRP and the production schedule to order raw materials and parts from the warehouse to maintain production quotas while analyzing part balances to curb line stoppage . As part of the Production Control team, you will report to Materials Management Manager and work with great team members.

How you will contribute:


  • The production Control Analyst must work closely with others to solve all inventory discrepancies, correct minimum, and maximum stock levels them in the system and implement procedures to prevent future problems.

  • You will coordinate with multiple groups to request BOM changes

  • You will maintain inventory levels needed to support MFG using safety stock controls

  • You will maintain and solve customer delivery problems due to parts shortages

  • You will support Management of non conforming materials

  • You will implement continuous improvement opportunities

  • You will collaborate with Tier systems to support manufacturing operations

In general, this role may oversee the earlier stages of the production process, or a facility that has limited volume, or mix of products produced.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:


  • BA/BS degree in business, engineer or other related field preferred/ not required

  • 1 or more years of experience in inventory control

  • Experience managing multiple commodity areas and tasks

  • Materials Planning experience

  • Familiarity with cGMP environment is required

  • Proficient in basic computing (Word, Excel, MRP systems)
