Job Description:

Johnsonville, LLC Youth Apprentice Maintenance Technician ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Preventative maintenance of all plant equipment

Responsible for running packaging line until production is complete (typically 2-4 hours per day)

Maintenance of all plant equipment

Be responsible for the performance and productivity of the equipment on the line

Maintenance of some utility equipment

Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems on all plant and some utility equipment

Project work as needed (i.e., machining, fabrication and working with outside vendors)

Member must be highly motivated with high expectations

JOB RELATED REQUIREMENTS

Basic electrical experience/understanding required (PLC's a plus). Willingness to learn is essential

Must be willing to share skills to help others develop and possess excellent communication skills

Committed to providing a high level of detail and pride towards equipment maintenance, projects, general housekeeping and maintaining all shop/utility areas in a neat, orderly fashion

Strong written and verbal communication skills required

Strong math background is required

Must be able to complete production documentation paperwork accurately

Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds

Must be able to maintain all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)

Must be able to actively participate in a team environment

Basic computer skill needed
