Team Overview:

Our QA team is a collection of amazing testers who believe in being application experts and fierce customer advocates. We design thoughtful, comprehensive test strategies and engineer innovative, practical automation because it's not about automating all the tests; it's about automating the right tests. We collaborate to ensure our quality standards are maintained, to learn from each other, to create the QA culture we want, and to be active participants in our overall application engineering team to deliver the most customer value possible. We use our Ruby engineering skills to write our UI automation, exercise APIs, and create innovative tools to give us ultimate power and flexibility for what we do.

The Role:

In this Senior QA Engineer role, you'll own the testing of product enhancements, bug fixes, and other features of our global sales & marking applications. You'll spend part of your time manually testing new features and part of your time writing new test automation. You'll help us maintain existing test suites and expand their coverage as new features are developed. Your inherent curiosity and tenacity will drive you to try new things, dig into features, and work closely with Development and Product Management to fully understand what you own. You'll share your knowledge & experience and learn from others in our highly collaborative culture. And you'll help us make this an amazing team to work in.

What You'll Do:

  • Take ownership of new features by writing comprehensive test cases and executing manual tests.
  • Write automated tests for new features and other items from our automation backlog.
  • Help build new automated solutions for testing backend-specific enhancements, elasticsearch upgrades, performance, and internationalization.
  • Collaborate with others on the broader engineering team to ensure complete understanding of what you're testing, enthusiastically learn from others, share your experience, and drive us to be a better team.
  • Support the team during product deployments to ensure flawless releases with extreme quality.
  • Work with our Technical Support team to help troubleshoot complex customer issues.
  • Requirements (Must Have):

  • Exceptional tester with five years QA experience testing web applications.
  • 2+ years of experience writing test automation in a scripting language like Ruby, Python, or JavaScript (Ruby/Watir preferred).
  • Experience working on an internationalized application.
  • General understanding of relational data and SQL.
  • Experience writing behavior-driven automation like Cucumber.
  • Experience exercising parts of an application through API calls, either via Postman, cURL, or RestClient.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively while using discretion in decision making and sound judgment in problem solving.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with TestRail or another test case repository.
  • Exposure to Jenkins.
  • Familiarity with CRMs like Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Must have the ability and desire to quickly learn new skills and technologies.
  • What We Offer:

  • Generous paid time off, increasing with tenure
  • 100% paid parental leave after one year
  • Paid sick time to care for yourself or family members
  • Do Good Program: Paid volunteer days & donation matching
  • Education assistance and extensive training resources
