The Lab Technician II will be responsible to perform assigned physical and chemical testing and report results.
Essential Functions
Provide assistance to Scientists during the physical testing of in-process, finished products and raw materials.
Document Maintenance. Follow Scientists instructions to perform ASSAY content uniformity tests and dissolution sample preparations.
Maintain an inventory of chemical reagents and reference standards, keep up to date records, and document items in the APR and/or in log books.
Perform calibrations on small lab equipments, i.e. Balances, pH meters, Desiccators, Refrigerators etc., that are used on a daily basis.
Additional Responsibilities
Clean glassware and lab.
Other duties as assigned.
Education
Associate Degree in Associate of Science or Technically related field - Required
Work Experience
AD or 3 years or more of laboratory experience preferable in a food, drug or chemical laboratory - Required
Skills and Abilities
Good written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to maintain clear and concise laboratory records. - Intermediate
Quick learner, proactive, , operate lab equipment, and learn new procedures in short period of time. - Intermediate
Must be computer literate; working knowledge of the basic hardware, software and internet concepts for data entry, word processing, spreadsheets and electronic communications. - Intermediate
Must be able to maintain a safe working environment, follow safety procedures, and practices identified in appropriate Safety Data Sheet (SDS). - Advanced
Must be a team player and able to adapt to changing assignments, work extended hours as needed to meet project deadlines. - Advanced
