Summary Posted: Jun 2, 2022 Role Number:200351534 The Technology Development Group is looking for an Accessibility QA Engineer to help us explore, define, and build accessibility solutions for the next generation of interactive computing for our platform. As a member of this team, you will have a unique opportunity to work with some of Apple's most advanced technologies (AR, VR, ML, CV) to help build empowering solutions for everyone. Key Qualifications 3-5+ years of experience in a Software QA Engineer role, or comparable experience Experience with Apple's Accessibility features Experience developing test plans, test cases, assessing risk, and filing appropriate defects Knowledge of software testing methodologies & practices Ability to triage problems, prioritize accordingly, and propose a resolution Experience testing mobile applications Software scripting skills (e.g. Python, JavaScript, Perl) Ability to thrive in a collaborative working environment within your team and beyond Excellent written and verbal communication skills Description Apple strives to make the newest technologies accessible for blind, low-vision, hearing-impaired, and motor-impaired users. You'll help us identify holes in coverage, actively sync with multi-functional teams to reduce duplication, foster better testing, and resist regressions. Education & Experience Additional Requirements - Comfortable and adaptable in a fast-paced and informal environment with the necessary support - Ability to respond and react to changing priorities quickly and efficiently with expectations communicated well in both sides - Good understanding of software development and the QA life cycle - B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience - Familiar with 3D computer graphics concepts a plus - Experience with computer graphic developer kits (e.g. Unreal, Unity, CryEngine) a plus If you are a Colorado resident, this is for you: At Apple, we see the whole you. Tools & Automation starts at a minimum $110,000. The actual pay may be higher depending on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments as well as relocation.
