Job Description:

Overview:
*This position ensures the sanitation and safe environment for all employees, residents, and visitors.
Responsibilities:
*Ensures that supplies and equipment are properly placed so that clear pathways are maintained for people to travel through with no more than 1-2 noted exceptions and no slips, falls or injuries due to failure to comply, per year.

Follows established procedures in the removal of all soiled trash and linen throughout the facility. Ensures that soiled utility and soiled linen rooms throughout the facility are emptied in a timely manner

Helps maintain the cleanliness of the EVS closets, back dock, lift, and compactor/dumpster area.

Identifies and uses proper cleaning agents and equipment for specified surface to ensure its safeguard against damage and to obtain maximum effectiveness, with no more than 5-7 otherwise noted per year.

Keeps supervisor informed of all aspects of responsibilities on an on-going basis, ensuring prompt notification when problems or potential problems arise

Maintains par levels of all supplies daily so that delays do not occur due to inadequate preparation.

Observes assigned work area and reports to supervisor safety hazards associated with faulty or ill-repaired building structure, without prompting or delay.

Operates, cleans and maintains equipment in accordance with manufacturer's specifications so that no injuries occur to self or others and so that no damage or excessive wear and tear occurs due to failure to comply.

Organizes time and priorities so that assigned activities are complete within designated time frames with no more than 2-4 avoidable exceptions per year.

Uses established methods to mark off areas that are unsafe due to cleaning operation so that no slips, falls or injuries occur due to failure to comply. Uses fans for ventilation and to dry floors.

Qualifications:
*EDUCATION:*High School Diploma or equivalent, Preferred
*EXPERIENCE:*Required:
2 - 4 years experience with High School diploma
*LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:*REQUIRED
