Who You Are...

The SAP Analyst will serve as the primary IT Liaison to the Corporate Sales/Internal Sales/Customer Support/Supply Chain Groups as well as the Business Unit Delivery Teams.  Working with the Technical Support Team, this role is responsible for the leading the analysis, design, configuration, development, testing, implementation and operational support for SAP applications and related projects.  This role will work closely with the business stakeholders to understand and document the end-to-end business process and develop functional specification to deliver SAP/digital solutions.

Is an integral part of our Information Technology team.  Some examples of the work you might do include...


  1. Define, Design, and Implement SAP core function modules with LB Foster Business Units according to SAP Best Practices and business needs

  2. Responsible for the full engagement of Business and IT Stakeholders, including communications, planning meetings, obtaining signoff, testing, training, and other interactions.

  3. Collect requirements, document business blueprinting, gap analysis, assess risks, report statuses, inform team members of issues, collaborate with team members to resolve problems

  4. Maintain SAP core modules and support interfaces.

  5. Support Ongoing process improvement and optimization projects

  6. Support on questions and issues from users on sales order management, pricing, credit control, allocations (of sales orders to stock), operational reports, customer master and billing.

  7. Collaborate with team members to utilize and optimize reporting in SAP, BoBJ, SAC and any reporting tools in future.

  8. Provide recommendations when there are opportunities for process alignment, simplification, and increased efficiency.

  9. Partner with key users to determine application development requirements, acting as the liaison between the IT Organization and the end users to ensure requirements and progress are communicated accurately.

  10. Comprehend and perform configuration tasks and testing in the areas of Sales and Distribution.

  11. Partner with the other SAP team members and the SAP Technical Support Team, as well as the end users, to analyze, design, develop, modify, test, and implement, software solutions and applications.

  12. Research the SAP system, OSS, ASUG, Open SAP and other resources for solutions to business requirements and the implementation of new business process improvements. Research new functionality and make recommendations on their use.

  13. Perform functional, integration and regression testing.

  14. Guide end user on regression and user acceptance testing activities.

  15. Prepare training documentation across several modules of SAP and lead training session with end users

Utilize an understanding of SAP “Universe” and Table Structure, linking and merging data from different sources to develop new reports, metrics, and dashboards.

What Do You Need?


  • 0 to 3 Years of SAP S/4 Experience in one or more SAP modules, required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Finance, or related degree required.

  • Experience in CRM or other related enterprise systems is preferred.

  • Coursework in SAP products is preferred.

  • Knowledge on the end-to-end processes in SAP (Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report, etc.)

  • Understand advanced, integrated business processes; identify and recognize integration consequences.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and under pressure and to manage multiple concurrent tasks and responsibilities while dealing with changing priorities.

  • Must be able to work effectively with cross-functional groups and a geographically dispersed user base.

  • Technical capability to configure and enhance an SAP environment.

  • Strength in documentation including testing, training, and specifications.
