Position Overview
This position will provide comprehensive leadership of the Proterra Training organization. You will be responsible for leading an industry best training team working to ensure the highest customer satisfaction. This position will manage both training curriculum development as well as delivery of training to our customers and internal users.
About the Role – You will:
Manage and lead both Training Development and Training Delivery
Measure the team’s success through metrics and KPIs
Develop and manage complex training development projects (TRANSIT, POWERED and ENERGY)
Manage Team to ensure consistent and prompt professional customer communications from all team members
Be responsible for the procurement and development of new training content prior to new product release
Ensure an understanding and delivery of all required customer training within a timeline established by our customer’s needs
Ensure team members have performance goals and lead the team to achieve them
Work cross functionally with Proterra engineering, technical publications, parts, customer service & customer success to identify and develop necessary training modules
Collaborate with external vendors as needed
Oversee the tracking and documentation of all training performed internally and externally
Update leadership regularly on the status of training projects
Work to annually audit training material for standardization and accuracy
Interact with customers to ensure customer satisfaction and overall project success.
Set up team members for success by providing them with the appropriate tools, training, support documentation and reference guides needed to develop and deliver training materials on time.
Lead the development of a “best in class” OEM training center
Drive revenue generation

This position will be part of the Greenville based Transit Customer Success team but will support all Proterra business units
You will report to the Vice President of Customer Success and collaborate with other team members located at our other facilities in Burlingame, CA and Los Angeles, CA.

Your Experience Includes:
5+ years’ experience related to training
At least 3 years of experience leading others
Proven ability to manage complex projects
Demonstrated customer service experince
Transit, heavy vehicle or other transferable experience
Working knowledge with manufacturing processes and suppliers
Working knowledge of technical elements of EVs
Strong experience with MS Office Applications and other process management tools
You might also have:
Experience with electric buses and chargers
Prior experience with curriculum development
Location: Greenville, SC
Travel: Up to 50% of the time to our various customer sites throughout North America.
