OSS is seeking a talented Information Engineer/Systems Security Officer/Program Manager to provide cybersecurity support to the Unmanned Aircraft Systems Team at Redstone Arsenal supporting PEO Aviation. The cybersecurity support will include system engineering, technical reviews of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), review of Technical Data Packages (TDP)s, attainting and maintaining Authority to Operates certifications for multiple Army Products, and participation in technical meetings.  Candidates should have a very strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and DoD/Army requirements relevant to the confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation of systems operating in a tactical environment.  Candidates should be very familiar with the security assessment and authorization process (Risk Management Framework).  Candidates must have demonstrated experience developing, editing, and auditing cybersecurity policies, plans, and procedures for government systems and programs.  oversee, evaluate, and support the documentation, validation, and accreditation processes necessary to assure that government customer's systems meet the applicable information assurance and cybersecurity requirements. Candidates will be responsible to ensure they provide the appropriate treatment of risk, compliance, and assurance from internal and external perspectives for systems and products operating in a tactical environment across all phases of the Essential Job system's lifecycle process.


Functions:



  • Lead a combined project team of government and contract employees located in many different locations while meeting directed delivery dates to meet fielding requirements.

  • Create Cybersecurity Roadmaps to ensure Government Products receive and maintain active ATOs.

  • Develop and oversee contracts to include creating scope, requirements, schedule, and contractor deliverables.  Review and provide feedback on estimates received by the Government.  Continuously monitor funds available on contracts by conducting Earned Value Management System level reviews.

  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve problems encountered with vehicle level issues in that could include electrical or mechanical systems.

  • Conduct system engineering tasks to include risk management, data management, and trade study analysis.

  • Develop Subject Matter Expertise on a variety of aerial vehicle subsystems.


Required Skills: 



  • Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5 years of experience or Master's degree with 4 years of experience. 

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD TOP SECRET clearance.

  • Familiar with Systems Engineering, Risk Management Framework, and DoD Acquisition processes.

  • Familiar with systems/subsystems for Aerial Vehicles.

  • Ability to travel to various customer and contractor facilities and test centers (25% Travel).


Desired Skills: 



  • Experience with PEO Aviation Risk Management Framework processes.

  • Experience with Risk Management Framework tool Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).
