Overview 

The Core Manager will be responsible for supporting the strategic direction of the N.A. remanufacturing business with respect to management of cores and the carrier exchange program. The position will be the liaison between product management, sales, and operations in the planning, management, acquisition, and inventory levels of cores for the remanufacturing business. The position will play a critical role in managing the life cycle for cores to ensure availability for existing and newly launched products. This person will lead and perform analysis to forecast core returns and ensure on-time return of vendor owed cores, and be responsible for forecasting and managing all finance related analysis for the core portion of the remanufacturing business. In addition, this person must be able to work in a fast-paced, technical, cross-functional environment with multidisciplinary project teams, product managers, sales, marketing, and technical support. The desired candidate will be a proactive self-starter; productive with minimal direction.

Job Responsibilities:

•    Lead the activities related to development of all core programs terms and conditions for all customer core programs.

•    Annually review the Corporate Core Policy and develop recommended adjustments through implementation.

•    Lead the activities related to cores from 3rd party produced remanufactured products.

•    Lead the development and recommendation for improvement for core reporting, forecasting, core accrual reports, core identification materials, and core inspection training materials. 

•    Identify and develop a scope document for all core related IT projects including new business systems and web development, system auditing and trouble-shooting and the final report creation and design. Document key core system operations and train users as needed.

•    Develop benchmarking of Meritor’s core programs including core deposit costs, eligibility for return timing, inspection materials and criteria, and core groups, by product line.

•    Management of the MeritorCoresOnline customer interface include customer training and sign up, usage reports, and recommended system enhancements required to position Meritor as the market leader in this area.

•    Actively engage with the remanufacturing operations team to identify and pareto issues from customer core returns from customers.

 

•    5-10 years working experience in product management, customer service, inventory, strategy development & execution in a remanufacturing industry

•    Ability to demonstrate multi-tasking and time-management skills

•    Core Management System experience required 

•    Global aftermarket base knowledge

•    Able to analyze and interpret data

•    Proficient in team management and cross functional team leadership

•    Strong teamwork and ability to interact with all levels and global regions of the organization

•    Effective oral and written communication skills including presentation creation

•    Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities with minimal supervision
