Basic Job Functions:



Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.


The EHS Coordinator will have responsibilities for leading our safety performance, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local safety, occupational health and environmental regulations including OSHA and VPP. This position will also be responsible for conducting training, culture building, environmental and safety management, participating in corporate initiatives, along with other duties as directed. In addition to these responsibilities, this individual will be responsible for collaborating with peer environmental and safety coordinators with our sister companies. Minimum Qualifications:



• Bachelor's Degree related to Occupational Safety, Environmental, or an Associate Degree in a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience post education.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
• Means and ability to travel.




Preferred Qualifications:



• Understanding of OSHA laws and regulations affecting the industry.
• Understanding of laws and regulations related to environmental compliance.
• Experience with SharePoint and Intelex.
• Experience working with management systems related to safety and environmental compliance in manufacturing.
