Summary:

The Assistant Site Manager works closely with the Site Manger to lead a multi-functional team providing the Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN) Services via commercial and military satellite communications ground stations deployed by DoD customers including National Guard and other special DoD customers at the Regional Hub Node (RHN) at Fort Bragg, NC. The Assistant Site Manger is charged with advising and recommending actions to the Site Manager to resolve complex technical issues.

Job Responsibilities:


  • Work closely with the Site Manger on RHN Operations.

  • Assist in the planning and allocation of resources.

  • Guide and mentor senior technicians.

  • Organize and evaluate plans of action to present to Site Manager.

  • Evaluate procedures and make recommendations for improvement to the Site Manger.

  • Work with outside entities when Site Manger is not available.

  • Technical guidance given to Senior Technicians and Government Personnel.

Minimum Qualifications: 


  • Minimum High School Diploma.

  • Minimum four (4) years RHN experience.

  • Secret Clearance.

  • COMPTIA Security+CE certification.

  • Experience working in the DoD Environment.

  • Good understanding of Network topology of WIN-T systems.

  • Good understanding of SATCOM RF and modems.

  • Able to multi-task and prioritize with minimum guidance.

Desired Qualifications:


  • Associate Degree or higher education in a technical field or management.

  • Experience working in a Regional Hub Node as a technician.

  • Strong understanding of Network topology of WIN-T Systems.

  • Strong understanding of SATCOM RF and modems.

  • Able to explain complex technical concepts to different audiences.

  • Strong Microsoft 365 Knowledge.
