Maintains curriculum management for the didactic courses in Canvas, MedNet and other COM curriculum databases, in coordination with COM Registrar. Coordinates activities pertinent to course information and instruction to include course creation and instructor assignment in OMNI Student Central. Coordinates and monitors each phase and End of Rotation (EOR) reports for the Physician Assistant Education Associate (PAEA). Maintains test bank for past and present exams and provides assistance in exam preparation, grading and proctoring. Supports new course development with research, formatting and postings. Maintains program and student data, completes special projects, research and reports.

Provides support to the Didactic Education Director and faculty for course activities and faculty and student calendars. Develops and maintains a file system to support school activities. Maintains the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) Portal, tracking faculty counts, specialty and contact information for accreditation purposes.

Provides administrative support to the School of Physician Assistant Practice with an emphasis on didactic faculty and academic support. Exercises judgement in screening and referring visitors, phone calls and inquiries. Composes letters and memoranda for routine matters and other correspondence requiring action by the Didactic Education Director, faculty, and staff. Attends committee meetings and maintains minutes as assigned.

Processes and submits travel authorizations for Didactic Education Director and program faculty members, gathers documentation, and submits travel reimbursements. Makes all necessary travel arrangements to include hotel, flights, car rentals, etc. in accordance with Florida State University policies and procedures ensuring travel arrangements and reimbursements are processed in a timely manner. Provides direct assistance to the Didactic Education Director and faculty in support of committee memberships and boards at the University, community, state, and national level.

Plans and arranges school social functions, meetings, service trips and other events, managing guest lists, sending invitations, making arrangements for venue, food, materials needed, set-up and break-down. Follows up with vendors ensuring purchase orders or payment arrangements are in place, coordinates hotel and travel arrangements for student participants and final reports related to events


  • Bachelor's Degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma/experience equal to six years. (Note: post-high school education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)

  • Experience with preparation, editing and delivery of materials for large and small groups.

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, to include knowledge of business writing and communication.

  • Experience documenting existing and new processes.

  • Experience with prioritizing, organizing, and performing multiple work assignments simultaneously.

  • Experience in maintaining accurate records and retrieving files from basic active or archived sources.

  • Experience in gathering, interpreting, reporting, and using information concerning assigned activities.

  • Ability to meet project deadlines.

  • Valid FL or GA Driver's License or ability to obtain.


  • Master's Degree and/or experience in educational programming.

  • Experience utilizing Canvas Learning Management System.

  • Knowledge of and ability to utilize resources available within the University.

  • Knowledge of principles and practices of academic program planning, development, and evaluation.
