First PREMIER Bank is looking for a candidate to join our Ag Banking team! This Credit Analyst will assist in the analysis of financial information pertaining to loans, prepare summaries, present facts, and make observations concerning financial condition. They will also provide credit information and references for loan officers, and other agencies as requested. The Credit Analyst will also support lending officers on a day-to-day basis with customer service, administrative issues, and the loan approval process.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Spread financial statements using designated software, with banker interaction for clarification or interpretation of entries.
Generate financial reports and supporting documents
Interpret data to identify trends and understand borrowers’ financial condition.
Compose detailed financial analysis of the borrower for use in credit approval documents.
Compile information necessary for completion of the Credit Arrangement & Loan Approval.
Assist with timely completion of credit approvals and annual reviews per Lending Guidelines
Assist with presentations to Loan Committee.
Accompany Bankers on customer calls as appropriate.
Ask questions of Borrower and obtain answers to any questions regarding the financial statement analysis.
Be a secondary point of contact for Borrower in the Banker’s absence.
Maintain customer files in an up-to-date and organized manner, including software and image systems
Help identify additional opportunities/products to strengthen customer relationships.
Maintain data and create reports to assist Bankers in the assessment and monitoring of the loan portfolio.
Perform collateral inspections and monitor loan relationships
Assist in the identification and correction of deviations from policy and guidelines.
Prepare summary and exception reports as needed.
Assist in monitoring tickler items and gathering financial information and documents needed to complete credit
arrangement and monitor loan relationship.
Provide additional credit support to lending staff as needed.
Attend all compliance training. Assist in training lenders as needed.
Assist with management of analysis software vendor relationships.
Coordinate and/or participate in group events or social or community events.
Skills and Qualifications
Must possess working knowledge of agriculture, banking, and loan processes and procedures.
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of previous analytical experience in a lending environment is preferred.
Combination of education/experience that would enable incumbent to meet essential functions and required competencies of the position.
Basic PC skills and proficiency of the English language.
