Senior Commercial Real Estate Underwriter:

This individual will support a portfolio of credit relationships, including gathering, analyzing and underwriting all business and personal financial data collected for the purpose of issuing , extending, amending, reviewing, monitoring and testing a commercial credit facility. The Underwriter is expected to liaise between all parties to ensure timely and efficient analysis that meets the expectations of the Borrowers, Lenders, and Administration.

What you will be doing:

• Assessing new Credit opportunities and supporting due diligence.


• Underwriting Commercial real estate credit requests for a variety of asset classes and loan types.


• Renewing timely and accurately risk rating loans.


• Assisting with loan monitoring and testing requirements.


• Supporting relationship managers with various aspects of their portfolios, including interfacing with existing customers and prospects.


• Presenting new opportunities and existing loans to credit committees.


• Mentoring junior credit analysts

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with a business, finance, economics or accounting major (preferred)


• 5 + years of work experience in in a financial institution with a focus on credit analysis or underwriting

• Excellent oral and written communications skills. Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills. Proven ability to manage tasks in a timely and efficient manner.


• Relationship management experience is a plus, but not required.


• Ability to proactively manage and prioritize work flow.
