Business Analyst

Chubb is looking for an experienced professional (up to 3 years) with a background in the intersections of business and technology to join our NA Field Operations team. This is a full-time position based in Philadelphia, PA and is a compelling opportunity to join a growing, financially stable, and successful company. This position will support Chubb’s customer facing portals which help our clients and brokers effectively and seamlessly manage and track all aspects of their risk management programs in real time.  This is an excellent opportunity to experience all facets of insurance operations.

 

Duties:


  • Assist in development and documentation of business requirements for various projects

  • Support and participate in test planning, test execution and other QA activities

  • Support the delivery of product and application demonstrations and presentations

  • Provide and support training for internal and external clients as required

  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements

  • Create and implement procedures and workflows for new functionality

  • Assist in managing the day-to-day operations and activities associated with key systems and projects

  • Escalate issues/risks to management as appropriate

 

To succeed in this role, you are a college graduate with up to 3 years’ experience in insurance, financial, or technology industries preferred. Candidates may also have studied Business or MIS at the undergraduate or postgraduate levels. Some experience in property & casualty insurance and/or web technologies is preferred

 

Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in many majors will be considered, with a slight preference to insurance, MIS and business majors

  • Basic knowledge in Web, MIS, or data fields

  • Knowledge of requirements writing and/or technical documentation

  • Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work effective in a team environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Basic Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook proficiency

  • Attention to detail and high commitment to quality

  • Understanding of data integration and reporting best practices is desirable

  • Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) processes and standards is preferred

  • Understanding of Project Management processes and standards

  • Understanding of test planning and system testing

This role can be a grade 20 or 21 depending upon candidate’s skills, background and experience
