What you will do


  • As the Sr. Product Manager – Connected Devices, part of the Sensormatic Global Solutions Management Inventory Intelligence Software team, you will lead setting product direction, features, and integrations for TrueVUE Cloud software and related services for connected IoT infrastructure.

  • This position will serve in a traditional software product lifecycle management capacity with pronounced focus on a set of essential software and services required to connect, configure, monitor, and ultimately ingest data from network connected IoT devices for analytics and business intelligence purposes.

  • You will work on a range of complex and fun problems and will be responsible for delivering a best-in-class Inventory Visibility solution! This is a meaningful role working alongside Senior Leaders in Product, Engineering (HW, SW, QA), Marketing, and Sales as well as regular interactions with the Executive Leadership team.

How you will do it


  • Work directly with customers and customer facing teams to translate goals and struggles into actionable requirements and deliverables.

  • Assimilate and consolidate customer requests for product enhancements driving the Sensormatic connected devices roadmap and contributing to overall Inventory Intelligence product roadmap.

  • Handle scope, balance trade-offs, set priorities, and coordinate a backlog of features from story to acceptance to production throughout the Agile software development lifecycle, including new product launches and end-of-life process.

  • Attend daily stand-up meetings as Agile product owner for ongoing development and QA activities.

  • Coordinate development efforts, timelines, and deliverables with other product owners and sprint teams, as well as hardware and software development and quality assurance teams to ensure product delivery and quality goals are achieved.

  • Train and support commercial elements of the business such that they can successfully position and sell your products and solutions.

  • Create product prototypes, demos, and participate in tradeshows, and industry conferences.

What we look for


  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field required. MBA or Masters is a plus.

  • 7+ years as product owner/manager delivering software that interacts with internet-connected devices installed in customer environments.

  • Proven experience of IoT device connectivity and associated software services for remote device monitoring/management

  • Previous experience in IT solutions for retail is highly valued, including exposure to

  • one major Object-Oriented language, to mobile software development on either Android or iOS devices, and Service Oriented Architecture and API;

  • Databases Foundations, networking foundations, and messaging protocols;

  • management of cloud computing environments;

  • diverse security protocols (SSO, MS Active Directory, LDAP, SSL/TLS, Wireless Encryption Protocols).

  • Knowledge of MQTT protocol, broker/client deployments and topic structures.

  • Experience with cloud data ingestion and data transformation from IoT devices.

  • Demonstrated success launching and scaling connected IoT devices and software in an Agile/scrum environment. Agile certification is a plus.

  • Experience with RFID UHF (SW and HW) and/or the Retail inventory business processes.

  • Experienced with hosted/managed enterprise software applications (e.g. SaaS) including establishing add-on subscription pricing.

  • Experience breaking down functional customer use cases to into software implementation user stories (web & mobile UX/UI and backend).

  • Comfortable working inside and outside the organization.

  • Detail oriented, self-driven with, group facilitation and excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and presentation abilities; well-honed influencing skills are desired.

  • A creative, customer-focused, dedicated individual committed to finding opportunities and driving ongoing customer success through revenue growth and increase efficiencies.

  • Problem solving – identifying and developing solutions based on existing processes or systems.

  • Ability to work in a fast pace, open, collaborative, passionate and driven environment as well as work independently and to manage own self-development and learning, as well as mentoring others within the team.
