Job Description:

Without knowing it, millions of people wear apparel and accessories distributed by alphabroder. Consumers may not recognize the company's name, but clothiers and promotional agencies certainly do. Whether the item is a company golf shirt, a T-shirt from a rock concert or a souvenir shirt from a vacation destination, chances are it has passed through one of our many Distribution Centers across North America.

JOB CONTENT:

1. Overall purpose of this position:

Maintain warehouse area keeping it clean and free of empty boxes. 

2. Major activities, which must be performed in order to carry out the purpose of the position as described above:

• Construct all size boxes by folding and taping bottoms


• Stack boxes according to sizes


• Collect empty boxes


• Empty and discard all plastic and other trash left in the boxes.


• Stack reusable empty boxes.


• Bail unusable mill cartons for recycle and sale using the Bailing Machine


• Transport Reusable Boxes to Replenish boxes in the Cart Preparation area.


• Assure compliance with safety regulations.


• Serve as a member of the Distribution Center team, providing assistance as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Specific knowledge, training or skills required to perform the duties of this position. Specific concepts, courses, training programs or required certifications.

§ Physical agility and stamina to stand, walk, bend for extended periods, push, pull, and lift (up to 60 pounds).

§ Operate Bailer or trash compacting machine.

PHYSICAL CONDITIONS OF WORKPLACE:

• Job requires working with exposure to moderate to heavy dust


• Job requires working with exposure to all weather conditions in a warehouse that is not environmentally controlled - extreme heat in the summer months and cold temperatures in the winter months.
