Summary:

The US National Account Manager for Kimberly-Clark Professional (KCP) will consistently achieve or exceed market segment penetration, sales volume, and profitability goals; the incumbent spends the majority of time identifying, developing, and capitalizing on significant National Account end user opportunities. These end users are typically characterized as centrally controlled, multi-location and high-volume customers which establish national pricing contracts to service all their locations.  These customers include market segment focus in industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Property Management, Building Services, Lodging, High Traffic, Food Service and Entertainment etc.

National Account Managers must be highly collaborative, interacting and working in close concert with KCP Internal Stakeholders including Marketing, Business Development Managers, Hybrid Sales Teams, Digital Sales Teams, Demand Generation Teams, Pricing Teams, & Data Analytics Teams.  The National Account Manager must leverage a comprehensive marketplace perspective and experience to develop and execute highly effective business plans focused on market segment, accounts, and products. National Account Managers regularly participate in National or Regional market segment meetings and focus group discussions with internal stakeholders to develop and review market segment strategies that ensure business goals are realistic, attainable, clearly communicated and implemented consistently.  National Account Managers obtain business and market segment insights by regularly researching trends and issues that are relevant to customers within their books of business.  National Account Managers may attend trade shows & membership association conferences that are relevant to their customer base.

This position manages activities with complete integrity and in accordance with Corporate and Sector policies, systems, practices, and programs. Extensive national and regional travel up to 50% of the time is required.

Purpose:

Utilize refined personal skills and comprehensive functional and technical knowledge to develop new National Account relationships, maintain professional business and personal relationships with key National Account end users and distributors so that market penetration, product category volume and profitability objectives are achieved nationally and in the assigned market segments.
 

Responsibilities:


  • Develop, convey and execute written business plans to achieve individual and team objectives. Business plans will focus on selecting and penetrating strategic National Accounts through individual and collaborative efforts.


  • Develop and expand executive level contacts and relationships within assigned National Account end user portfolio, across multiple business units or functions within the end user, and be able to clearly articulate the value KCP brings to drive mutually agreeable business objectives.


  • Provide timely feedback on objectives, projects, workload, budgets, or other issues that could affect objectives on at least a monthly basis.


  • Be an active and highly effective member of the National Accounts team in developing and implementing programs and strategies to meet National Account objectives.


  • Create and execute National Account Sales Campaigns from beginning to end, maximizing sales growth for each National Account Customer


  • Coordinate with Regional Director of Sales, District Managers, and Digital Sales Managers the plans for identifying and converting National Account locations across the country.


  • Actively participate in Regional and/or District sales meetings to ensure National Account sales plans are communicated, understood and achieved.


  • Regularly communicate on the status of plans and programs, competitive activity, pricing, risks and opportunities that could impact results.


  • Actively support the development of National Account team members by mentoring new team members and by sharing National account, market segment and KCP knowledge and experience.


  • Establish and maintain highly effective business partnerships with distributors focusing on National Accounts.


  • Establish joint strategies with distribution partners to accelerate national account growth.


  • Ensure Kimberly-Clark national account agreements are clearly communicated and effectively implemented at all locations.


  • Establish, maintain, audit and review contractual “Corporate Agreements” for large multi-location end users at the corporate headquarters level to improve penetration of these accounts across the site level with the goal being 100% compliance.


  • Consistently document and maintain detailed account and opportunity history by utilizing salesforce.com for each National Account


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree is required.


  • Minimum 4 or more years of demonstrated success in sales experience.


  • Minimum of 7 years working with PC based applications (Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.


  • Strong oral and written communications skills


  • Strong executive level presentation skills


  • Proof of successful sales track record


  • Tactfully Aggressive with a bias towards action


  • Travel up to 50% of time by car and/or plane required


  • Clean driving record required


  • Demonstrable skills and proficiency in personal computer systems and applications


  • Evidence of continued personal and professional growth and development


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Preferred candidate possesses extensive knowledge of Commercial Segments (Commercial Real Estate, Property Management, Building Services, Lodging, High Traffic, Food Service and Entertainment) and applicable distribution channels within the market segment.


  • Five or more years of documented sales success and experience in related markets


  • Proof of a successful track record


  • Prefer candidate to be in the Top 10% of Sales Force
