QTC is seeking a Medical Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to support our Veteran Affairs Operations in San Dimas, CA

What part would you play in this role?


As a Medical Quality Assurance Specialist, you will use your medical background and knowledge to work closely with medical providers and the Veterans Administration to ensure the documentation process is complete and accurate and timely. In this role, you will review documentation sent over from medical providers and ensure the report is complete, accurate and the veteran has received consultation for all of their medical issues listed.  


In this rewarding role, you will:



  • Review exam reports sent over from medical providers

  • Utilize you attention to detail to ensure all medical coding is complete and accurate

  • Ensure all tests have been ordered and completed

  • Utilize your strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with medical providers for clarification of reports

  • Work with our in house appointment schedules to request additional appointments for the veteran as necessary

  • Collaborate with your team members as we strive for improvement and consistency 


 


You must have:



  • High School diploma, or equivalent (GED) or 2 years of experience in lieu

  • At least 1 year of professional experience in a healthcare setting

  • Broad knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology and medical tests

  • Ability to read, understand and interpret various medical reports


 


Preferred to have:



  • Experience within medical coding and documentation

  • 3+ years of experience working in healthcare setting

  • Knowledge of military medical examinations or experience working with the VA

  • Vocational training in the medical field, i.e. LVN, CNA, Military Corpsman/Medic, EMT, MA, etc.

Typical Day:



  • Mon – Fri: 8:00am – 4:30pm PST once training is complete

  • Positions are located ONSITE at our San Dimas, CA located 924 Overland Ct, San Dimas, CA 91773


 


Pay and Benefits:


Starting pay: $ 24.15 per hour increase to 25.35 after training is complete
