The Role:

We are looking for a dynamic, energetic Occupational Safety intern who is eager to learn about our company by assisting various or assigned department(s). The intern works closely with our team to conduct research, capture and or analyze data, participate in projects, and attend meetings where you will be asked to take minutes and participate in discussions.

Education and Experience


  • A student or recent graduate of a college/university or vocational school in Occupational Safety.

  • Prior industry experience is preferred

 

Other Requirements

This position requires the physical ability to perform extensive repetitive motions in using a computer and the routine use of other office equipment.  Work performed may vary from sitting with no heavy lifting required to occasional long periods of standing, walking, bending, stooping, maneuvering around policyholder facilities, touring work sites of all sizes and conditions and may involve scaling of ladders and lifting and/or pushing or pulling of objects 10-50 pounds.  Must be willing and able to perform all job-related travel.

A valid driver’s license and motor vehicle insurance is required. Use of personal vehicle is required. When not conducting policyholder visits in the field, Safety Service Consultants will office out of their designated office assignment.
