Summary

Manage, analyze, and load cross references in O&M systems to ensure clinical compatibility of “like for like” items. Implements and executes plans for category and supplier reviews including working on special projects to support the proactive management of cross reference expansion. Collaborates with category managers, products managers, and suppliers to leverage expertise and develop the O&M cross reference database.  Uses internal reporting and systems, as well as 3rd party data providers to add and maintain cross references. This positions reports to the Director or Category Management.

Core Responsibilities

• Prioritizes cross reference projects across cross functional teams including Clinical Products, Category Management, and product managers.


• Actively researches items to determine clinical comparisons to alternative items.


• Develops cross reference expertise within O&M.


• Maintains cross reference database to ensure accuracy.


• Completes RFP’s and special projects.


• Establishes and achieves KPI’s for cross reference expansion and coverage.


• Continuously looks for opportunities to improve processes that lead to increases in cross reference accuracy and coverage, collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop solutions to close process gaps.

Qualifying Experience

• Four year university degree required


• Three to Five years of relevant experience required


• Or and equivalent combination of education and experience


• Good interpersonal skills


• Strong verbal and written communication skills


• Solid planning and organizational skills


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team


• Ability to independently seek issue resolution


• Customer service oriented


• Medical product knowledge and/or clinical knowledge preferred
