Manage parts room – inventory, receiving, distribution of parts and maintain min/max levels on inventories.
Supervise and assign duties to Parts Room Attendants (assure parts room and offices maintained, coordinate safety inspections of fire extinguishers, exit signs, emergency lighting, etc.).
Research and find the correct identity of necessary parts, tools, materials, etc. using available OEM manuals, drawings, parts lists, etc.
Work with technicians and/or contractors to ensure projects planned are improving efficiencies, reducing operating cost and/or improving equipment reliability while ensuring compliance with all electrical codes, safety, OSHA, FDA, USDA and Corporate policies and regulations on a daily basis; verifies correct materials and parts are used.
Plan/schedule/audit work completed by technicians through work order management system.
Import information contained in system to Excel to trend maintenance downtime, uptime and PM compliance. Create graphs to reflect trending.
Have part kits created for technicians.
Maintain OEM manuals in office.
Initiate maintenance spending purchase order process, track spending, audits, cleaning schedules, generate work orders, close work orders, etc. utilizing CMMS (Mainsaver).
Distribute work orders to appropriate supervision/departments and follow until complete.
Track all capital spending at plant.
Oversee cycle counts of parts inventory. Contact vendors for parts, supplies, equipment and materials for availability and price same and follow delivery items.
Perform duties while working safely – awareness/identification of hazards, ensuring proper PPE is worn, maintaining a clutter free work area, following safety procedures and policies.
Report all unsafe acts and unsafe working conditions immediately to supervision.
Become an active participating member of the Safety Committee.
Responsible to ensure food safety/quality polices are followed, to report all food safety/quality problems out of his/her realm of responsibility to personnel with the authority to initiate action.
Responsible to make sure a good safe wholesome product is produced safely.
All other duties as required.
