Job Summary

Wilton Brands is a craft and celebration leader, where great people deliver innovative products and exceptional customer service. This position reports to the VP of Global Sourcing and Procurement.

This role will be responsible for identifying and driving the strategic direction and growth goals for the edible categories and commodities at Wilton. The Sr. Manager leads, creates and implements category and commodity price risk strategies for the purpose of helping the company manage commodity risk within its supply chain. This position is strategically important to delivering Procurement's cost of goods budgets within stated annual goals and objectives and is critical to the price stability of finished foods.

This position will participate in prospecting potential suppliers while building their knowledge of new suppliers, materials, processes, cost, lead time, quality, and compliance. This position will manage a group of suppliers, including sourcing, negotiations on pricing and other commercial terms and lead supplier business reviews. The role is responsible for managing supply chain readiness for new product development across the products in this category. This role will also be a leader in their assigned area and will be responsible for driving results within their team as well as within their own assigned supplier base. The sourcing lead will establish the overall supplier strategy for assigned area of the business.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Strategically lead Category Portfolio financial plans, including the annual budget and standard cost development for your categories. Owning the baking ingredients and ready to eat cakes desks financial KPIs like margin improvement.
• Negotiate more favorable payment terms to improve company cash flow.
• Monitor market dynamics and develop hedging strategies and positions to cover market exposure across relevant commodities, manage risk, minimize cost, thereby providing potential financial benefit the edibles baking categories.
• Establish and execute key strategies for the procurement group whilst leading supplier performance management through negotiations of procured ingredients, materials, and services. Develop and implement strategies to assure lowest overall costs while mitigating risk to the corporation.
• Develop risk management strategies relating to potential supply chain disruptions including alternative sourcing options and product / service availability
• Negotiate and facilitate approval for new supplier contracts and agreements.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency, cost performance, and accuracy.
• Set and meet TQRACC (Technology, Quality, Responsiveness, Availability, Cost and Compliance) objectives for the suppliers / programs within the scope of the role.
• Measure and manage vendor performance to ensure productivity, timely deliveries, high service levels and adherence to quality specifications and all other business requirements.
• Participate in new product development and deliver across all elements of supply chain readiness
• Partner with business unit leaders to develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives for the company. You will be expected to provide excellent internal stakeholder management and implement best practices across your area of the business.
• Work with Inventory group to ensure that supply is scheduled to effectively meet demand and assist in inventory management.

Education and Experience

• Demonstrated commodity management expertise
• Proven negotiation and facilitation skills
• A Bachelor's Degree in a business, supply chain or other related field.
• 10 - 12 years of experience in market analysis with good processing, consumer goods or trading company
• Demonstrated track record of success identifying innovative opportunities and driving them to completion
• Must collaborate with and build upon cross-functional stakeholder relationships withing the business
• Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems

• Ethics - Consistently uses good judgment when analyzing right and wrong and performs at a level of conduct that is with in corporate ethics guidelines.

Physical Demands/Work Requirements:

• Professional office environment. This role is sedentary in nature and requires the ability to be seated at a desk for majority of the workday.
• Ability to routinely use standard office equipment such as laptop computers, computer monitors/keyboards, photocopiers and telephones.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
• Ability to travel 15%
