SUMMARY
\n
The Cloud Manager, Information Technology performs role of business partner by understanding the business process, identifying opportunities in technology and creating resolutions to business challenges. Additionally, the role provides for on-going support of all mission critical applications and infrastructure supporting these systems.

PRIMARY RESPONISIBILITIES
\n

\n
• Develop Enterprise Cloud Strategy in coordination with IT Principals, IT Infrastructure, and all business stakeholders
\n
• Manages and develops staff, projects, and IT resources.
\n
• Write and develop cloud automation playbooks for managing and scaling containers, hosts, cloud services, and applications
\n
• Work with Principals, Infrastructure and IT Finance to establish controls necessary to effectively view and control costs in cloud environments, build out the "Finops" program.
\n
• Develops innovative ideas and business solutions while making recommendations for projects that support corporate goals.
\n
• Ensures each system is operating at 100% of its scheduled availability.
\n
• Help other development and engineering teams resolve application to platform integration issues for Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
\n
• Architect and maintain cloud environments and automation programs to drive world-class agility, reliability, & security for new and existing applications
\n
• Provides consultative direction for the evaluation and deployment of technical solutions to business requirements.
\n
• Design, implement, and deploy microservices using AWS serverless: AWS Lambda (Python), S3, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, Serverless Application Model (SAM), DynamoDB, API Gateway
\n
• Works closely with IT Security Ops team to ensure teams are adhering to proper systems hardening, patching, risk mitigation, user provisioning, etc.
\n
• Works closely with other Infrastructure teams (Sec Ops, Network, Database, Help Desk) to maintain the overall infrastructure by fulfilling their requirements.
\n

ADDITIONAL RESPONISIBILITIES
\n

\n
• Defines and manages both the scope & change management aspects of projects. Ensures the documentation of changes that impact project plan and budget. Communicates project status to project stakeholders for alignment.
\n
• Identifies, analyzes, manages project related risks and responds appropriately to meet requirements.
\n
• Escalates issues and vulnerabilities to appropriate senior managers and stakeholders.
\n
• Develops and manages a budget of approximately $1-4 million.
\n
• Disaster Recovery oversight and planning. This includes involvement from infrastructure teams as well as working with solution providers for proper DR planning and execution.
\n
• Ensures KPI metrics and reports are generated to provide business with up-to-date information.
\n
• Review Statements of Work, Vendor Services Agreements, provide Legal submissions for review, etc.
\n
• Keeps abreast of the Service Provider trends and company strategy to determine the means to implement changes in the existing cloud infrastructure to accommodate new technology, features, and functionality.
\n

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
\n

\n
• 12+ Years of experience successfully implementing multiple enterprise solutions in the cloud using a vast range of cloud technologies and appropriate cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
\n
• Experience managing mix of on-premises, IaaS/SaaS, and Cloud-native IT operations
\n
• Proficient in AWS security practices like IAM Roles, encryption, certificates, firewalls etc. Familiarity with modern cloud application architecture
\n
• Experience leading cloud operations, including disaster recovery, data assurance, monitoring, alerting and notifications.
\n
• Understands next generation networking strategies, such as, Network Function Virtualization and Software Defined Networking
\n
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
\n
• Develops and manages to project plans, forecasts & budgets. Presents data clearly, concisely and accurately.
\n
• Analyzes and reports to senior management on project plan, budgets, and projections.
\n
• Proven ability to lead with on-site as well as virtual teams.
\n
