Job Description

An expert of the P&C Industry, the Product Marketing & Strategy Director holds a pivotal role in crafting the product offering. He/she conceives and develops market analysis practices, understand the market dynamics, develops and conceives product roadmap and future vision, and helps execute innovative marketing programs that drive demand, develop the company's position as a leader in its category, creates and executes on an integrated plan with sales to deliver significant business growth, including enabling the sales team to achieve targets. He/she brings strong influencing skills.

Reports to: Chief Marketing & Chief Strategy Officer, Sapiens

Main Responsibilities

The Product Marketing & Strategy Director main responsibilities include (but are not limited to):


  • Shape Sapiens Product Offering of Tomorrow

    • Identify market needs and opportunities through a wide variety of sources and generate innovative product offerings and concepts;
    • Complete market analyses for new concepts (define market needs, markets size & segments, analyze competitive offerings, determine distinctive competencies, define channel strategy, etc.)., make product strategy and plans recommendations accordingly;
  • Influence

    • Represent Sapiens & speak at Industry events and conferences;
    • Advocate internally cross functionally around the new product offering in order to gain strong support;
  • Successfully Drive Full Product Planning Lifecycle

    • Build business cases, working with internal teams to gather costs and pricing for approved concepts, shepherd new products through the New Product Innovation process, obtaining necessary approvals from key stakeholders, including compliance, legal, finance, etc;
    • Contribute to the strategic full-lifecycle product planning process, including individual product plans, product line plans, the product innovation pipeline, and product roadmap;
    • Collaborate and guide the P&C product management team on release content, market expectations, etc;
    • Meet with sales and customers as needed to gather VOC and to help guide product concepts, POCs, and testing;
    • Collaborate cross-functionally to contribute to and execute on go-to-market plans, working with product marketing, pricing, operations, training, and sales; work very closely with the field marketing team to develop thought leadership content, marketing continent and go-to-market approach;
    • Contribute to and manage cross-functional development of User Guides, FAQ documents, training presentations, client presentations, etc. to support successful product launches.

Qualifications


  • An expert of the P&C domain with 10+ years' experience;
  • Experience in business consultancy/product & market development/strategy planning in the P&C insurance space
  • Experience in market analysis, product-market fit, roadmap development and strategic full-lifecycle product planning process;
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills (including speaking at industry events);
  • Adept at developing effective working relationships with peers, managers, and senior management within and across organizational lines, and working effectively and cooperatively with customers and vendors;
  • Self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment and with strong ability to anticipate challenges and work assertively to solve problems with a cross-functional team;
  • Adjusts well to changes, situations and periods of ambiguity (e.g., different management styles, new methods, systems, and procedures) and changing priorities within the business and the marketplace;
  • Ability to multi-task, with excellent time management skills;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with expert skills in PowerPoint and Excel;
  • Experience with jobs-to-be-done, Design Thinking and/or Pragmatic Marketing certification strongly preferred;
  • International work experience in a matrix set up - advantage;
  • Ability to travel up to 30% as needed.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or similar field required. M.B.A. preferred.
