Job Description:

· Approximately 50% of the work will be project related rather than day to day tasks.

Involvement in Lean Manufacturing improvement teams.

· Running and assisting in product development trials.

· Data collection and analysis by computer-based programs to monitor quality and resolve process issues.

· Assist in managing multiple capital projects

· Working closely with Regional CI Manager, Quality, Technical Service, and Production personnel, along with other co-ops, to troubleshoot production issues and improve cost efficiency.

Job Requirements:

· Sophomore or higher level in Paper Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related science and engineering major.

· Prior experience preferred, but not required.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office (required) and PARCView data analysis and visualization software (preferred, but not required).

· Self-motivated and ability to work well in team environments.

Additional Details:

· 40 hrs./wk.

· Co-ops will be responsible for finding their own living arrangements if they are relocating

· Formal two-way performance evaluation at end of semester

· Co-op summary report on semester projects and day to day tasks

· Requires willingness to work in a paper mill-manufacturing environment.
