The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for partnering with the commercial and operations teams to drive consolidated financial results for a multi-site manufacturing business. As a Region Financial Analyst, you will be a key member of the Region leadership team, driving business strategy and improved performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide financial analysis and commentary of financial results and organizational metrics. Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, and profitability analysis.
Key member of Region leadership team, supporting branch strategy development and execution.
Lead monthly business reviews with General Managers / Region VP
Analyze variances between actual and projected results. Make recommendations for suggested improvements.
Provide actionable information to the leadership team through insightful analysis and strong business partnership skills.
Manage the planning and forecasting process as well as play a lead role in the annual budget process.
Develop, maintain, and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial models as needed.
Direct Finance support for branch General Managers and teams
Responsible for Region month end close accounting activities, and support internal and external audits as required.
Other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE:
Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Very strong working knowledge of Excel required
Proficiency with ERP systems & Cognos based reporting
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in reporting, consolidation and financial analysis. Previous experience in Manufacturing helpful.
Ability to administer effective communication skills across all levels of the organization and work well under pressure and deadlines
Excellent time management and organizational skills required, very high attention to detail
Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and multi-task with minimal supervision
Problem solving skills and the ability to take command and ownership of projects, driving them to timely, efficient, and accurate completion.
Ability to engage in projects requiring broad skill sets, while maintaining high standards of work in a fast-paced environment, with competing priorities.
Attention to detail is required.
Experience working with Operations.
Excel power-user preferred.
Ability to evaluate and interpret end user information requirements, and to develop appropriate analysis models and reporting solutions.
Ability to clearly articulate and communicate topics to all levels of the organization.
