Position Summary:

The Onsite Service Engineer position will provide on-site customer product support for Illumina's products.

Residency in greater Phoenix, AZ area preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Install, upgrade, repair, and maintain instrument systems in defined territory.


• Troubleshoot and repair system problems.


• Submit service reports, expense reports, and "Bug" reports in a timely manner.


• Enter work performed in the service database in a timely manner.


• Maintain accurate service spares inventory.


• Revise/review SOPs.


• Demonstrated ability to align optical systems.

Requirements:

• Travel required up to 25%.


• Must be highly motivated and have strong problem solving ability.


• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.


• Must have good technical writing abilities.


• Must be able to work independently and as a team player.


• Computer experience and literacy a must.


• Working knowledge of Visio a plus.


• Must be flexible in working hours as this position may require customer support during non-regular business hours.


• Demonstrated account management skills

Experience/Education:

Typically requires 2-5 years of related experiences and a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, related degree; Or applicable military experience; or equivalent

The estimated base salary range for the Onsite Service Engineer - Phoenix role based in the United States of America is: $72,000 - $108,000. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable salary range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual's qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
