As the Life Enrichment Coordinator, you will:
... be responsible for creating and maintaining a calendar of programs and activities that meet the specific needs of each resident within the community to enhance their quality of life.
What you’ll do here:
Develop a creative and engaging monthly calendar of activities that encourages resident well-being in body, mind, and spirit and meets the individual interests and abilities
Participate in the new resident welcome program and obtain background and interests of each new resident through formal interview and “Getting to Know You” form
Assist in coordinating special events at the community including family nights, open houses, marketing/sales events, and Enlivant enrichment initiatives
Schedule and support the transportation of residents to and from events/outings, which may include driving a community motor vehicle
Participate in monthly LEC calls and other community management meetings as requested
Develop relationships with local schools and organizations and establish and maintain a volunteer program through recruiting and provide training and support for our volunteers
Assist the Executive Director in managing activities’ budget, equipment, and supplies
Train, support, coach, and supervise assistant(s) as needed
Communicate effectively with residents, family members, staff, and management
Ensure programs are compliant with state, federal, and other regulations
Perform other duties as assigned
We’d love to talk if:
You have a High School Diploma (or equivalent)
You have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for business use
You are proficient with Microsoft Office and can learn new software
You possess good time management and organizational skills
You meet, have, or are eligible to obtain all applicable state requirements and certifications
You have basic written and oral English communication skills
You care about serving seniors
Bonus points if:
You have a post-secondary degree from an accredited college or university
You have Activity Director certification or equivalent
You have 3 – 6 months of senior living, hospice, in-home health care, or skilled nursing experience in an activity planner’s role
You work harmoniously with other employees and develop/maintain good employee relations and employee morale
You engage others in fun and creative activities
You have experience interacting with individuals diagnosed with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease
Pay Range: $12.50 - $14 / hour, based on experience.
