B&W is looking for an engineer to support its Diamond Electronics camera systems. This position will be a key contributor to the design, development, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our industrial camera systems product line and associated electro-mechanical systems and controls.
This position will be responsible for:
System design and component selection for new equipment and features as well as component obsolescence.
Assist with generating proposals, new order review/writeup, and developing customer specific drawings
Troubleshooting field and production issue related to the product line
Key contributor to the related camera system software development and testing.
Developing and delivering technical training to internal team members and external customers
Skills:
Knowledge in visible and Infrared optics design - Lenses, Filters, etc.
Knowledge of the visible, near-infrared (NIR), mid-infrared (MWIR), and long wave-infrared (LWIR) spectrums.
Knowledge of Singlemode and Multimode fiber optic technology and equipment
Knowledge of Analog and Digital video components and design
Knowledge of networking of IP camera systems
Mechanical and Electrical design experience is a plus
Knowledge of CSA Certification in support of the product line is a plus
This position requires you to travel up to 10-20% of the time. Working both independently and in a team environment within B&W and at customer sites.The qualities we're looking for are:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Physics with knowledge of Optics and Imaging Science, preferred.
