What you will do
The Senior Linux Firmware Engineer will be part of a team responsible for the development of firmware for the industry-leading Software House brand of access control panels and access modules. This position will be working with a talented team of firmware engineers with cross-functional interactions with Product Managers, Software, Hardware and QA engineers. We work in an agile framework and therefore we work very closely with QA to ensure the customer and product requirements are met. You will be using the latest cutting-edge technologies to power next-generation Access Control solutions. This positions is based in Westford, MA, and requires to be onsite 3 days per week.
What you will need
Required
Strong knowledge and development experience of customizing Linux distro using Yocto and/or buildroot.
Strong knowledge and development experience of modifying and updating Linux U-Boot, kernel and device driver.
Experience with C/C++ development on Linux.
Board bring-up and diagnostics.
5-10 years of solid experience in software engineering and Linux software development.
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent knowledge and experience.
Preferred
Development experience with TLS/SSL , stunnel and other cyber security technology
