Asphalt Position Overview :
Our paid internship program provides a rich and rewarding hands on learning experience and the opportunity to make a contribution to our organization. Our interns work in their course of study under close direction of an experienced supervisor/manager. The Asphalt Intern supports the Plant Manager/Plant Supervisor at the assigned asphalt facility.

Construction Management Position Overview:
A Construction Management Intern will be given the opportunity to work with a vertically integrated company and experience multiple aspects of construction management as well as other lines of business. This individual will begin their internship in estimating where they will learn construction conceptually. After a few weeks of estimating, the intern will work in the field supporting our crews. This will give the intern the ability to see how a job progresses from bid to build. Finally, the intern will spend time with the administrative staff to learn financial aspects of various construction jobs.

Education and Experience
Working towards a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Construction Management, Operations Management, Project Management, Finance, Business Management, or Civil Engineering from a college or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be proficient with Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
