Job Description:

AMETEK O'Brien is a leading manufacturer of fluid and gas handling solutions, sample conditioning equipment, and process analyzers used for critical applications in process industries worldwide. Our comprehensive product offering includes pre-insulated tubing bundles, sample conditioning equipment, specialty tubing and fittings, instrument enclosures and process analyzers.

We are looking for a knowledgeable Senior Accountant who will be responsible for providing accurate financial statements, completing timely month end closings, maintaining Fixed Asset records, inventory costing, and forecasting and budgeting.

Responsibilities:

• Financial accounting including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, financial analysis and review of revenue and expenses.
• Fixed Assets management in the fixed asset software and the ERP system.
• Inventory costing management, including costing for added items, standard cost rolls, and review of variances.
• Forecasting and budgeting assistance to the Site Controller and the Site Manager.
• Lead quarterly SOX testing.
• Provide backup for other members of the Finance Department, including Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accountancy
• 5-7 years' experience in financial and cost accounting
• Experience within manufacturing or industrial environment
• Working knowledge of GAAP, intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Effective communication skills, customer orientation, problem solving.
