Job Description:

Nemours is seeking a Medical Scribe for our emergency department.

Primary Function:

The primary duty of a medical scribe is to record the details of a patient's exam-clinical history, current complaints, diagnoses, procedures performed (either by the physician or other healthcare professionals) and medical orders given (including prescriptions and tests) .

Essential Functions:

Collaborates with providers routinely in the documentation of care of the patient during examinations.

Documents in EPIC as needed.

Performs their duties efficiently and accurately

Has knowledge of medical terminology.

Can perform their duties in a high stress environment.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree required.

1-3 years of job-related experience required.

Must have a comprehensive background with medical terminology.
