What we are seeking

Chubb is seeking a Data Analyst to aid the delivery of best-in-class data analytics solutions across Chubb’s North American Insurance operations. The successful candidate will be highly collaborative, creative, and intellectually curious; able to work well in a team; adaptable and able to work with complexity and ambiguity; is a self-starter and motivated to learn and succeed; is data-driven and can identify problems and interconnections as they arise; has keen business acumen; and is familiar with agile project management. 

The candidate will partner with key stakeholders across business, IT, and actuarial, to define business and data requirements, and support design and operationalization of analytics assets.

Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with NA and global data management stakeholders to identify business needs and define requirements for complex business solutions.

  • Work with the business, applications owners, solutions and tech architects to understand the implications of data & analytics initiatives to maximize the value of information across the organization.

  • Identify data sources, gather and interpret data, address data quality issues, perform analysis, and synthesize findings for executive stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with PMO team members to monitor and report progress of NA portfolio of analytics projects.

  • Support the NA Analytics team members in definition and deployment of user experience frameworks.

  • Stay current on relevant market, industry, technology, and competitive trends, informing NA data & analytics team’s strategy.  

Minimal Qualifications


  • 7+ years of experience in strategy, change management, transformation, business process management, or data and analytics.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in work experience.

  • Experience in building support, agreement, or commitment for ideas presented.

  • Advanced project management skills.

  • Experience in working in organizations with disparate data sets.

  • Strategic thinker with ability to frame options for decision making in keeping with enterprise objectives.

  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Must be able to present complex issues in a manner that is easily understood by a non-technical audience.

  • Strong understanding of Agile Methodologies.

  • Experience working across a matrixed organization and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Experience in descriptive and diagnostic analytics, exploratory data analysis, and model and solution design.

  • General understanding of analytics processes and how they can be applied to add value to business processes.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience translating business and user requirements into data & technical requirements.

  • Experience developing and championing innovative ideas tied to business goals.

  • Prior management or IT consulting experience.

  • Understanding of user interface and business process design.
