Responsibilities

• Regularly clean the shop environment, including disposal of hazardous chemicals in appropriate containers

• Follow OSHA approved procedures for a providing a safe work environment

• Assist parts warehouse personnel with delivery and receipt of heavy duty truck parts

• Perform post repair road tests on heavy duty trucks

• Shuttle trucks to and from customer locations

• Shuttle drivers as needed

• Assist technicians as needed

Requirements

• 6-12 months' previous work experience in a heavy duty truck shop environment

• Ability to read and comprehend both written and verbal instructions and policies/procedures

• Attention to detail

• Ability to communicate with vendors, customers, and other PTC employees

• Positive attitude is a must

• Class B CDL preferred

• Must be able to work in an environment with variable temperatures, humidity, exposure to dust, dirt, cleaning chemicals and noise

• Bend, stoop, squat, crouch, climb, stand, walk, turn and pivot

• Ability to work varying shifts, additional hours and/or overtime depending on service needs

• Grasp, lift/lower, push/pull, operate equipment and tools, up to and greater than 70 pounds. Grasp, lift/lower, push/pull, operate equipment and tools to heights above the shoulder and to foot level.
