Job Description:

FINANCIAL ANALYST I

Connect Staffing, Inc. seeks a Financial Analyst I for a long-term contract role with a top corporate employer headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. This individual will perform monthly reconciliations, journal entries, and analysis as well as ensure the integrity of account balances. Hourly rate up to $24.60/hr based on experience.  Responsibilities include:

• Ensure all reconciliations are prepared in conformance with the Sarbanes - Oxley Act of 2002


• Responsible for internal reporting related to the accounts payable forecast, bad debt analysis, general ledger variance analysis, and special projects


• Establish good working relationships within the Transaction Processing organization as well as across the Operating divisions of our client's business


• Other duties will include the following: performing journal entries and analysis during the close process, performing balance sheet reconciliations, and internal reporting


• Review and process monthly invoices and submit them to AP (accounts payable) for payment 


• Constantly evaluate and identify opportunities for process improvements through the utilization of technology 


• Collaborate with other departments to resolve payment issues or erroneous postings


• Participate in special projects as needed 


• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager

Qualifications:

• Advanced skills in MS Office products


• Knowledge of SAP encouraged


• Candidate must have the ability to perform effectively in a detail / goal-oriented environment, with the ability to multi-task and self-motivate


• Should be proficient in identifying process improvements


• Should have the ability to work under pressure to meet project deadlines


• Ability to review and analyze data trends, identify issues and translate data into actionable information 


• Results-oriented and able to focus on details with consistent follow through 


• Ability to embrace change and be an advocate of it
