What we need:



Mohawk is looking for an Energy Manager who can do More with Mohawk by planning and managing activities of energy procurement.


The Manager will be responsible for sourcing and supplier contracts of energy categories, including natural gas, electricity, fuel oil, and propane. This position works together with maintenance and the Energy Demand team to support the Energy Reduction Program.



What you'll do:




  • Maintain contact with Production Planning and Manufacturing sites to determine short and long-term energy demands.
  • Manage utility and energy services for 450+ locations worldwide.
  • Convey energy demand estimates to natural gas vendors on a monthly and sometimes weekly basis.
  • Develop energy sourcing strategies and manage global energy supplier relationships.
  • Negotiate and maintain supplier contracts. Review with Legal Department before execution.
  • Approve and audit energy bills to determine if proper tariffs are being applied.
  • Monitor and analyze electric, gas, and backup fuel markets. Manage backup fuel strategy and inventories.
  • Report on energy / utility usage for carpet, yarn, extrusion, Mohawk Home, Unilin, and Dal-Tile sites worldwide.



What you have:




  • Bachelor's degree in business science/engineering CEM, etc. with experience in energy-related fields.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the energy field or related area.
  • Professional certifications valued: Professional Engineer, Certified Energy Manager, LEED Accredited Professional.



What you're good at:




  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with peers and executive level members.
  • Expertise in organizing, analyzing, interpreting, and evaluating relevant data.
  • Experience in securing rebates and grants.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint is required.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Organize and execute a project from beginning to end, working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prepare formal oral and written reports, technical studies, and Power Point presentations clearly and concisely, including interacting well with a myriad of clients.
