Reporting Relationship & Job Scope

The AVP, Diversity Recruiting will drive the diversity recruiting strategy and best practices for Chubb North America. This role will also have some full-cycle recruiting responsibilities. This is a highly consultative, strategic, and collaborative role and an exciting opportunity to impact the continued diversification of Chubb’s workforce.  This role reports to the VP, North America Talent Acquisition.

The AVP, Diversity Recruiting will participate as a member of the North America Talent Acquisition leadership team.  They will closely partner with key business leaders, HR Business Partners, Culture Office, Employee Resource Groups and the North America Talent Acquisition team. A successful candidate will have strong strategic focus, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, place a premium on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) values, be data-driven and detail-oriented, and adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions.

Primary Responsibilities

Develop, communicate and execute on a diversity recruiting strategy for North America that is designed to improve the workforce diversification and promote inclusive hiring practices.  Enhance and leverage partnerships with external organizations that engage diverse talent and with internal Employee Resource Groups.  Ensure Talent Acquisition team is educated and resourced to deliver on diversity recruiting strategy.



  • Analyze and leverage workforce metrics and external market research to inform the diversity recruiting strategy, understand strengths and identify opportunities for enhancement.




  • Partner with key stakeholders (Business Leaders, HR Business Partners and TA leaders) to determine line of business talent needs and consult on inclusive talent sourcing strategies (internal and external).  




  • Collaborate with Early Career Recruiting Leader on inclusive sourcing strategies for early career talent.




  • Educate key stakeholders ((Business Leaders, HR Business Partners, ERG leaders and Talent Acquisition Team) on the diversity recruiting strategy and consult with them on how they can help broaden our outreach to diverse talent in local markets.




  • Identify, assess, select and manage key partnerships with professional organizations that engage diverse talent.  Act as Talent Acquisition subject matter expert for internal Employee Resource Groups to advance talent attraction strategies.




  • Organize Chubb’s representation at key industry and/or organizational diversity conferences and events and establish collaborative process for engaging with potential talent.  Attend select events in person or virtually.




  • Ensure North America Talent Acquisition team is informed and educated on diversity recruiting best practices and inclusive hiring processes; make recommendations for training, consult on sourcing strategies and provide sourcing support for diverse talent for key roles.





  • Champion the adoption of inclusive hiring practices across the organization.




  • Partner with Global Communications team on social media and employer branding opportunities to position Chubb as an employer of choice.



In addition to the responsibilities outlined above, this position will also have full-cycle recruiting responsibilities for select requisitions which will account for approximately 30% of the role and could flex based on need.

Qualifications:



  • Significant full-cycle recruiting experience in a fast-paced environment




  • Experience leading people and/or projects




  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post-secondary degree




  • Proven strategic and creative talent sourcing skills including ability to attract passive talent




  • Ability to think strategically and effectively execute strategies; a proven track record of results and drive for continuous improvement




  • Solution-oriented, critical thinker and problem solver who is proactive and responsive, has passion for excellence and willing to roll up sleeves




  • Demonstrated delivery of successful Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategies




  • Data-driven orientation and experience developing reports to communicate metrics, trends and recommendations




  • Strong professional and executive presence and maturity; excellent communication skills, positive attitude and action oriented




  • Ability to influence and advocate at all levels of the organization, balanced with good listening skills and desire to seek and consider diverse perspectives 




  • Excellent interpersonal, consultative and communication skills; highly collaborative with demonstrated ability to build strong relationships at all levels in a matrixed organization.




  • Must be able to manage competing demands, accept criticism and constructive feedback, while being extremely adaptable and flexible.




  • Strong aptitude for understanding technology




  • Limited travel within the US may be required



In Jersey City, NJ the pay range for the role is $106,500 to $176,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors.
