Nemours is seeking a remote Financial Analyst!

Primary Function-

As a Financial Analyst, you will join a team responsible for the overall financial and operational vitality and success of all Delaware Valley operations. Your responsibilities include assisting in developing annual capital and operating budgets and ensuring leadership have access to quality and timely operational and financial information. You will also help improve financial and general data literacy throughout the Delaware Valley. You should:

Essential Functions-

  • Working with the Financial Management group, ensure that leadership has access to timely, accurate, complete, and actionable data, including providing monthly financial statements. If issues arise during the preparation or distribution of data, work with the appropriate subject matter experts and stakeholders to resolve issues. This includes working with the Accounting and Budget Departments to ensure financial data are always accurate.
  • Assist the Financial Management group in developing and monitoring operational and capital budgets, including revenue and all expenses.
  • Identify and investigate opportunities for revenue generation. For example, ensure that all charges are captured and appropriately billed.
  • Provide appropriate support to revenue cycle personnel such as scheduling, registration, authorization and utilization management, financial counseling, and billing to insure claims are paid appropriately by both insurance and patient/families. Assure a customer/patient focused process that aligns with our patient-centered True North statement.
  • Actively manage expenses, including collaborating with materials management to improve supply chain operations. Identify the root causes of expense variances, collaborate with others to develop countermeasures, and aggressively work to resolve expense variances.
  • Ensure the efficient and effective use of resources, such as equipment, space, and Associates. Work with the financial innovation team, Clinical leadership, and Decision Support team to develop time driven activity based cost accounting (TDABC) tools.
  • Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical administration to review financial and operational data, develop counter measures as appropriate, and, when necessary, provide education.
  • Lead data literacy and financial literacy initiatives throughout the Delaware Valley, including developing an Analytics Community. Teach Associates how to use apps (Qlik, etc) to analyze data as well as help Associates understand how to use data to drive decision making.
  • Perform a variety of daily support tasks as necessary, such as creating new accounting units, approving FTE requisitions, approving invoices, etc.
  • Enthusiastically assist in the performance of any other task as necessary to ensure that the Operational Finance team is able to support all Delaware Valley operations.

Qualifications-

Bachelor's Degree Required

At least 1 year of Job related Experience
