Filter Technician at Unifi Manufacturing Inc. in Yadkinville, North Carolina

Job Description:

The Filter Tech is responsible for performing CPF Filter changes in the spinning plant, this includes installing clean filters, removing dirty filters, breaking down filters, and switching the system from the dirty filter to the clean filter. They must patrol the work area and determine if machines are ready for filter changes. They will make sure that there are plenty of hot filters in the oven ready to use as well as perform general housekeeping and assist maintenance techs as requested by resource technician. Filter Techs will need to enter data specific to filter changes and record filter change time. They will need to be able to work without direct supervision.

What is my earning potential?

We now offer new competitive hourly rates starting at $17.45 with top pay up to $19.39. In addition, our updated enhanced shift premium $1.00 for 12-hour night shifts.

How will you play an important role?

• Remove dirty filter and install clean filters


• Break down filters


• Determine when machines are ready for filter changes


• Keep ovens stocked with hot filters to be installed


• Additional duties as assigned


• General housekeeping


• Participates in and supports safety processes and initiatives


• Supports shift and department team goals and objectives

Are you qualified for the position?

• Previous maintenance experience a plus, but not required.


• Previous forklift experience a plus, but not required.  


• Basic computer skills


• Ability to read and basic math skills


• Ability to stand, walk, reach and bend frequently


• Hand and finger dexterity


• Ability to lift up to 13 lbs (occasionally)


• Maintenance Test Required
